He has already obtained his nursing assistant certification and his EMT certification. Jason has achieved a 3.93 grade point average as he balances all of his other responsibilities. In his free time, he volunteers to serve as a shuttle driver for senior citizens at a local church. Mrs. Alleta Morrison, math teacher at NHS, states,

“I first met Jason Stewart when he was an eighth grader at Narrows High. Over the last five years, I have enjoyed watching him grow into one of the hardest workers I have ever known. He is involved in a wide range of activities where he takes the initiative to organize and see tasks through to completion. Jason’s passion for helping those that are sick or injured has led him to be a member of the Junior Rescue Squad as well as taking nursing courses at Giles County Technology Center. He works tirelessly to do his best in each of those pursuits. I am confident that Jason’s desire to help others as well as his work ethic will help him achieve his goal of becoming an emergency room RN as well as a paramedic. I am honored to have had the pleasure of teaching Jason and watching him mature into such an outstanding young adult.”
